Our Story

We grew up worlds apart, literally, but with the same faith for the impossible. Renee was raised in relative royalty, under the stern yet supportive care of Andre and Margot Perrault in Canada. Nopparat practically raised himself & his brother in the metropolitan of Bangkok, Thailand. Whichever way you cut it, discipline and true grit were central to our upbringing. That’s why we’re in Thailand today!

When I (Renée) was 19 years old, I sat in church listening to missionary Dr. Al Purvis preach. He seemed like a spiritual giant with his stories of riding elephants in the jungles of northern Thailand & eating bugs with the tribal people. It all sounded amazing, but at the same time, he looked exhausted and worn out. I figured his ministry could use some extra manpower and I could use some adventure.

Levels of Challenges

When I first landed in Thailand, I didn’t know how to use the bus, order a meal, or get directions to the bathroom.  Every single interaction was a huge challenge and left me completely dependent on those around me for the most basic tasks.  Finding the bathroom soon became trivial and gave way to the next level of challenges: loneliness, funding cuts, and strained long distance relationships with family and friends. With each new challenge, my heart was raked over and I had to raise my white flag of surrender for the sake of the harvest.

It’s been 19 years since my first trip to Thailand. Back then, ministry efforts were concentrated in the nation of Thailand. I was single and had no children. Today, Nopparat and I have been married for 15 years. We have three beautiful children. Our missions’ efforts now span more than half the world’s population. Across Asia, we plant churches (about 90 to date), train new leaders (about 200 students on five campuses), and launch creative ministries like homes for orphans, aid for the destitute, and schools for the poor.

And now what? Currently, we pastor in Hua Hin while training leaders in Asia. We believe that everyone was created with purpose and no one should go through life unfulfilled.

Our goal is not just a one-time event or a blip on the screen. We’ve diligently prepared for the long-haul. Our heart beats for the nations – for the people who have never heard the name of Jesus.  We’re here to make disciples of Christ in Asia.

Fruitfulness is not something we produce, it’s the result of making a decision to remain firmly planted in Jesus. Our multiplication in Asia depends on us becoming fruitful and being willing to help others become fruitful. No fancy formulas, just faithful missionaries and faithful partners.
